Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven

Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
My sheep know my voice
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.Jn 10:27-30 KJV
If you don’t believe you can hear his voice, let him show you with the exercise of this reading..He said “my sheep know my voice” He will help, he loves you.
You will find his voice familiar, you have heard him all your life in your heart.
While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Heb 3:15 KJV
When you hear his voice do not harden your heart, learn to yield to his voice and engage with him in all things. Ask “yes or no” questions to exercise hearing him. Remember “all things are permissible but not all are beneficial” a “yes” answer should often be followed by an “is it beneficial” question.
All things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate, permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous.1 Co 10:23 AMP - (also 1 Co 6:12)
Can I have ice cream? is a much different question than Should I have ice cream? Do you want God’s direction or opinion?
When God speaks in your heart do you recognize his voice and the way it “feels” within you? Becoming sensitive to him is the effect of seeking him consistently deepening your relationship. Develop your sensitivity in the less essentials of life, what to wear, what to eat, etc. to learn his voice and become confident. Confidence in the routines of life will be reflected in the crisis of life !
Remember the disciples walked, literally, daily with the Lord, you must also. Relating takes time but you’re always with him. awareness of this reality is key. You will find the uniqueness of his voice within you difficult to communicate to others but “grounding” to your soul within you. Your’s alone.
Quiet confidence , rest for your soul is yours !
  • Remember: Ask the Lord “Is this true?"
