Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven

Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
Path of Relationship Hope Leads to obedience Leads to trustLeads to confidence In confidence is passion and power
People are seeking relationship by nature, the Father has created us to relate. The call to love and be loved is His nature in us.
Hope is sparked when people feel love, the desire to be loved often overrides sense. Many become hopeless after many betrayals due to the selfishness of others and themselves . Few relationships attain true trust or even approach confidence.
Most so called relationships in the world are actually mutually selfish connections with many spoken and unspoken conditions. This is obviously not true unconditional love. Examining relationships will reveal our need for the love of the Lord to enable us to love others. Our definition and expression of love is limited at best when self directed even if we have some experience with God’s love. Experiences with God’s love through a lifetime by an individual would reveal but a glimpse of His love and be tailored to them. This often leads to individuals trying to apply their experience to others, when it does not apply .
A relationship with God is individual, and begins with hope, often hindered by self judgment, but when responded to, begins the obedience which will lead to trust .
People often have not experienced opportunities to respond to the Lord sufficient to develop trust capable of a life commitment. Most have tried to know God through study and intellectual experience, which limits love encounters by definition of the self directed. This is seen clearly by doctrines defining God and how he loves.
To attain the easy and light life one must pursue love encounters where obedience to him allows him to show himself trustworthy. He knows each of us intimately and only by interacting directly can a relationship truly develop .
It is his pleasure and plan to engage with you. This path is easily followed as love leads the way. He does not expect you to trust him until you can, he loves you unconditionally.
Fear not, little flock;for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom Lk 12:32 KJV
You are loved.
  • Remember: Ask the Lord “Is this true?"
