Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven
Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
Drink the cup he serves you
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all fleshJoel 2:28 KJV
I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh Acts 2:17 KJV
Many feel they are separated from God. How can you be apart from an omnipresent God? As an ostrich buries its head in the sand so must we choose to ignore the presence of God around us. God has forgiven the sins of the world and then poured out his spirit upon all with the intent of relationship. The easy and light life the Lord has planned for us is readily available. Ours to pursue.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Lk 12:32 KJV
Drink the cup the Lord is serving, let his love touch you, experiencing his love is the multiplier in developing as his son / daughter. Let God lead you into a deeper relationship by yielding to and partaking of his love.
Believe in love / experience it, from him, to him, from others, to others, etc.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”Mt 22:36-40 NIV
Everything is fulfilled in love. However when called to love others as you love yourself - “I can’t” is the honest answer. As long as you are your own judge you are trapped in your own judgment. To love yourself you must be free from self judgment, only experiencing his love can bring you out of the tree of knowledge / judgment and into the truth of perfect love.
Give Him full access, There is a process, enjoy being loved. Say “Thank you Lord for loving me” Learn to live loved.
