Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven

Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
My faith or His faith
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.Gal 2:20 KJV
I spent much time trying to develop my faith through study, associations and service only to discover I was working in vain.
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.Gal 2:21 KJV
Any works to achieve are works in vain, and when I discovered I could access the mind of Christ, life and ministry became easier. Though for quite some time he was the wonderful advisor. A place he graciously maintained until I became hungry for more, he then began leading to things I did not know. Yielding and following revealed his true lordship was only now developing in my life and I began experiencing his way to live.
I discovered that I had been setting the terms of engagement, seeking his advice and limiting his lead to where I understood or thought I needed it. Living by my faith was limited by my knowledge, as I yielded to him I began living by his faith which is unlimited.
Live by the faith of the son of God, letting him lead you into his plan and purpose. As you yield to him your identity and confidence will be established and your life will stabilize, securely on the foundation of his love.
If you’re setting the terms of engagement, you are maintaining lordship over your life. As you grow more and more secure in his love you will release control to him and count on his lead for life. Yield to him, making it a habit, it will become automatic, then it will become continuous. Time and experience engaging in his love bring greater ease to life as your mind is renewed to communicate rather than reason. His lordship is established through relationship, which is his delight.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.3 Jn 4:4 KJV
The easy and light life which the Lord spoke of is developed by your personal choice and pursuit. God loves you unconditionally and will not impose upon you but is delighted to freely respond. He said to us “I would rather you argue with me than ignore me.”

Enjoy the invitation !
