Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven
Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
Keys to the Kingdom
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.Mt 7:7-8
The kingdom of God is the kingdom of love and therefore one must enter and function in the kingdom by love. When we ask, the Lord calls us to love Him, ourselves, and our neighbor.
Ask -Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.Mt 22:37-39
The honest response “I can’t“ is the humble recognition of our judgmental inner state, especially concerning ourselves. Judgment and insecurity are inherent in man’s reasoning condition
Seek -Find the God who loves you, heals all your infirmities, and has a plan for you.
Loves you - affirms and confirms you are lovable Heals - weaknesses and fears which allows you to see and love yourself and others Plan - you are part of his purposes , there are things for you to be part of
As we continue to seek God his love will interact with us to lead into the love realm where his love surpasses knowledge and reason. As we experience love he affirms us and heals our fears “perfect love casts out fear“ 1 Jn 4:18 His love draws us closer to a trust relationship. Only in trust can we yield our judgments and reasoning and begin to let Jesus be Lord, the kingdom being manifest in our life
Knock -The door will be opened , revealing the target for the love you have received.
As love and trust develop many “doors” will be opened in your life, opportunities to share the love you have been receiving. As you discover his plan for you, the Kingdom of God is before you !
